CPI Foods, Inc Recalls Non Fat Dry Milk Because of Possible Health Risk

PI Foods, Inc of Dallas, TX is recalling approximately 15,000 (net wt. 20g) packets of non fat dry milk because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.

NOW Foods Issues Nationwide Voluntary Recall of Whey Protein Concentrate

NOW Foods has issued a voluntary recall for NOW Foods products containing whey protein concentrate due to potential Salmonella contamination. This is an extension of the voluntary recall being conducted by the company’s supplier Plainview Milk Products Cooperative.

Office of In Vitro Diagnostic Device Evaluation and Safety Has Moved!

Maybe you've heard (and maybe you haven't), but CDRH is slowly moving its Offices to the new FDA White Oak campus.  It was OIVD's turn last weekend and we've successfully arrived at our new location.  For most of you, this change in location will go completely unnoticed.  But if you're looking to contact OIVD, you'll find the address and phone numbers have changed.  The OIVD website has been updated with the new address and main phone number, but if you're looking for division phone numbers you can find those here.  All this talk of moving might also get you thinking about how this might affect submissions sent to OIVD.  Well, we have a page for that too, which I would recommend visiting to make sure anything you send to us gets sent to the right place.
